This page sets out general storefront rules for artwork, custom commissions and customer-supplied material. It is not legal advice and does not create a transfer of rights beyond the order or licence that is expressly agreed.

Rights in artwork and store content

Fine Art Custom, the relevant artist or another rights holder retains the rights in original artwork, website images, written content, branding and trademarks unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Buying a physical artwork does not by itself transfer copyright or grant unrestricted commercial use.

Customer-uploaded material

Before uploading a photograph, portrait reference, logo, artwork or other material, you must have the permission needed for Fine Art Custom and the artist to use it to review, make, support and deliver your order. Do not upload material that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights.

Custom work and permitted use

The order confirmation and any separate written agreement determine what the customer may do with a finished commission. Any commercial reproduction, resale of copies, advertising use or other expanded licence should be agreed in writing before use. Marketing display of customer-supplied material should not be assumed from placing an order.

How to report a rights concern

Use Contact Us and include:

• Your name and reliable contact details.
• A description of the right you believe is affected and evidence that you own or represent it.
• The exact store URL, product, artwork or order reference involved.
• A short explanation of the concern and the action you are requesting.
• A statement that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Review, removal and repeat reports

We may temporarily hide or remove material while a rights concern is reviewed, ask the relevant parties for more information, or restrict content that appears to infringe rights. Repeated or knowingly abusive infringement reports may be declined. We will not publish a special legal-agent address or promise a jurisdiction-specific counter-notice process until the store has confirmed that process.
